Played in the National Championships from 1983 to 1990
Representing Venezuela National Team in 1984, 1985, 1986
and 1987 in several international qualification tournaments.
Played Copa Latina in 1992 in Miami USA and several local
leagues including the national open division for men’s
in USA
As coach began career on 1996 in Miami USA, began coaching
men’s open division from 1996 to 2000 in several local
leagues. Began coaching youth soccer on the year 2000 up
to date

Born
in Copiapo, Chile on June 13th, 1967
Moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 12.
Attended West Miami Junior High and Rockway Junior High.
Graduated High School from Southwest Senior High School where
he played for the school's soccer team until he graduated
in 1985.
He also Attended Miami Dade Community College and FIU.
He is the owner and President of OCM Industries Corp. a local
precious metals refinery.
Coach Navarrete besides playing in his high school's team
he also played for the Astros Soccer Team which participated
in the FYSA tournaments back in the mid 80's. At the age of
18 he began coaching kids for Coral Estates and later for
the Kendall branch of the AYSO.
Later on he volunteered at the YMCA for a few years and coached
a team that later became the U14 traveling team for Strike
Force. Many of those kids today are playing in colleges around
the country.
Coach Navarrete then took some time off to start his own family.
He has been married for 12 years and has two sons, Antonio
and Sebastian. Both of them are presently playing at Miami
Soccer Club.
In the last 8 years he has also coached at Sports For Kids
and Club Atletico Miami and every summer he holds a soccer
bootcamp for kids of all ages at an indoor soccer facility.
This soccer bootcamp is a great way for kids to stay active
in the summer and to keep their skills sharp when they are
not training regularly.
Coach Navarrete has acquired his U6, U8, and U12 modules from
the FYSA and presently holds a coach license F from the FYSA.
And he will be getting his license E from the FYSA in the
upcoming months. |
